On the product detail page, you will see the urn's capacity in cubic inches. As a rule of thumb, 1 cubic inch = 1 pound of your loved one before cremation. So if you are buying an urn for someone who weighed about 200 pounds, you will need an urn with a capacity of 200 cubic inches or more.

Our small keepsake urns have a capacity of 1 -30 cubic inches. These are meant to be urns for small children, families who are sharing their loved one's cremains, or for pets.

Our medium sized urns for ashes have a capacity of 30 - 120 cubic inches. These are meant to be urns for children, small adults, families who are sharing their loved one's cremains, or for pets.

Our large cremation urns have a capacity of 120 - 300 cubic inches. These are adult-sized urns or companion urns.

When you received the cremated remains from the funeral home or crematory, the ashes will most likely be in a plastic bag, inside a temporary urn. We strongly recommend that you keep the cremains in the plastic bag, and then place the plastic bag in the new urn.

We carry cremation urns that vary in shape, size and opening. Typically, traditional shaped urns are opened and closed through a threaded lid at the top, and the box-shaped urns are either opened from screws or from a plate on the back. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions

Our nameplates are a wonderful way to personalize your urn without altering the integrity of the box. The nameplates ship separately and have a small adhesive on the back, so you can place it where you'd like. Nameplates are ideal for our box-shaped urns , and you can easily add them on the urn's product page.

We offer engraving directly on certain urns and memorial jewelry. You can find them here

Our memorial jewelry provide a stylish and subtle way to keep your loved one close you, always. They are designed to hold a small amount of ashes (less than a teaspoon), or a small keepsake, like a lock of hair, or dried flower. Many of our pieces can also be engraved. The pendants are unisex, and can be worn on a necklace or bracelet chain . We also carry bracelets that hold ashes, which look great on both men and women.

We include detailed directions and all the tools you'll need to fill your cremation jewelry memorial. In most cases, you would remove the threaded screw, and use the provided funnel and pick tool to place the ashes in. We also recommend you use the provided glue, which is formulated to dry when it is cut off from oxygen, so it only dries on the closed areas and allows for easy cleanup.

Our cremation jewelry memorials come in solid Sterling Silver, 14K Gold and White Gold and Gold Vermeil.

To care for your silver, 14K gold and white gold pieces: When needed, you can restore the pendant's shine with silver cleaner and a cotton cloth. A professional jeweler can buff out any fine scratches from regular wear and tear.

The care for your gold vermeil pieces: Gold vermeil pendants have 14K gold plating over sterling silver. Occasionally, some skin types or perfume products may cause discoloration. You can restore the shine with water on a soft cotton polish cloth. Avoid using polishing cream, which may cause the gold plating to wear off.

To date, we have not heard of any customer who has had an issue with their pendant after it is permanently sealed. One recent customer said in a recent review, "I took some time to write this review from when I purchased it over a year ago to help with providing details on its durability. I must say, this is the absolute perfect way to cherish your loved one. It is absolutely stunning and I have received countless compliments." That said, we do not recommend submersing pendants in water after they are filled, this may weaken the bond.
