Thoughts on a Modern Funeral

The idea for Modern Memorials came to me during a moment of frustration. I had recently launched a company that helps people plan memorial services and funerals. My job was (and is) to take the burden of planning off my clients’ shoulders and take care of details both large and small. I always knew that planning a 100-person event in one week would come with challenges but I didn’t anticipate how hard it would be to find something as seemingly simple as a beautiful urn.

I started this carefully chosen collection of tasteful urns thinking it would help my clients. It turned into ModernMemorials.com with a mission to help our clients and customers cherish and pay tribute to their loved ones every day.

The Urnist will have a similar mission. We’ll post about interesting approaches to funeral planning, worldwide trends, readings, music, pet funerals, cool urns and more. In a time of so many tough decisions, we hope that we can provide a tiny bit of comfort or inspire an idea for you to honor your loved one.
